Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic
The City of Riverside is seeking to establish an eligibility list for the position of full-time firefighter/paramedic. - Service 25,000-plus residents in over 8.5 square miles
- Approximately 5, 000 calls annually.
Occasionally residents may see another department’s engine or medic in the City because the City of Riverside Fire/EMS Department participates in a mutual-aid agreement with surrounding departments.
Salary Information: $49,561.20 – $64,977.12. The Firefighter/Paramedic works a 24/48 schedule.

Current Part-Time Personnel with the City of Riverside who meet the required eligibility requirements as well as veterans will receive 5 added Preference Points to their exam.

Job Requirements
Valid OHIO State Driver’s License: Yes
Academy Certification:
Applicants must currently be certified as a State of Ohio EMT-P, a current State of Ohio Level II Firefighter Certification or equivalent, and a Hazardous Material Operations Certificate.
The candidate selected for hire must obtain a State of Ohio Fire Safety Inspector Certification within 12 months of their start date in order to successfully complete their probationary period.
Qualifications:
The Firefighter/Paramedic must be willing to work as part of a team and build professional relationships with staff, colleagues, co-workers, elected officials, community leaders, and citizens. This position requires a physically fit professional who has a passion to provide efficient professional Fire/EMS services with outstanding communication and leadership skills.
