Does anybody know exactley what a AS in fire science consists of? Is it just a normal 2 year degree with fire tech classes?

AS fire science
Depends on the school. Typically an AS (or AA,
some schools call it one or the other) consists of
fire classes (many times including EMT and/or a
firefighter academy) and general education units.
Many schools also offer just a "certificate of
completion" in fire, in addition to the AA or AS. What
that typically means is that you've done the same
fire classes as required for the AA or AS, but you
haven't done any general education - thus you only
receive the certificate of completion.
