LAFD Training Academy start dates

Does anyone have any information on potential new academy start dates for LAFD? I have heard one is starting in January/February but not sure about others. I also heard they may be running a couple academies at the same time to speed up the process. I have passed my initial panel review of qualifications but have yet to hear from a background investigator.  I was accepted to medic school but worried if I start, I may have to quit midway through if LAFD calls.  Any info will help.
