The Exam/Interview Process

I just want to make sure I am following the correct procedures in becoming a firefighter. I am taking my CPAT in a week, then apply for the Fire Fighter Trainee position (LA County), then wait for an Exam Date? Is this correct. Also what is the best way to keep up with exam dates?
Once I take the test, wait for a call/letter for an interview?

County uses a Lottery system so once you turn in the application you just sit tight and wait for a response about the written test. If you don't get a reply with in a year, you must retake the CPAT and reapply. Good luck
