The Northshore Fire Department is currently building a list of entry level applicant profiles from NTN for a January 2nd, 2017 hire date. All testing must be complete and posted by September 25th, 2016.
The top candidates that meet our scoring criteria will be invited to submit an application. Oral Board and Fire Chief’s interviews will be conducted during the Month of October.
A valid CPAT (accepted from either NTN or PST only) is required for this position. The department does not require the candidate PHQ.
FIREFIGHTER TESTING
The National Testing Network, Inc. provides testing services to the Northshore Fire Department to fill firefighter vacancies. National Testing Network is a service provided to conduct entry level and CPAT testing in a standardized, professional environment. The National Testing Network does not replace the Northshore Fire Department’s responsibility and decision making in the hiring process.
To fill out an application and schedule a test, go to www.nationaltestingnetwork.com, select “Firefighter Jobs” and sign up for the Northshore Fire Department. The following bullets provide an overview of what you can expect at the website:

*Northshore Fire only accepts valid CPAT scores from The National Testing Network (NTN) and Public Safety Testing (PST).
Upon completion of the entry level exam and CPAT testing, candidate scores are automatically forwarded to the Northshore Fire Department. Candidates who attain a passing score on both the entry level exam and the physical abilities test will be placed on the department’s eligibility list. Northshore Fire Department will select candidates from the list and will invite them to continue to participate in other stages of the department selection process.
EMT CERTIFICATION
- A current Washington state EMT certification is required by date of hire; Candidates will need to have their WA State EMT certification or be eligible for sponsorship by date of hire.
