Position / Title: Firefighter Paramedic

QUALIFICATIONS:
The City is looking for candidates with the following education, training, and experience AT THE TIME OF EXAMINATION:

Must be 21 years of age.
Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalency.
Must not have been convicted of any felony, or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude.
Must be able-bodied and capable of speaking and writing the English language.
Must be a citizen of United States or be eligible to work within the United States.
Must pass a pre-employment background and reference check, and a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be currently certified as a Utah Emergency Medical Paramedic.
Must be currently certified as a Firefighter I and II, Haz Mat Awareness and Operations by the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy or any International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) accredited agency.
Must become Apparatus Driver Operator (Pumper) through the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy or IFSAC accredited agency within 24 months of employment.
Must have a valid driver’s license and must obtain a Commercial Drivers License within six months of hire.
