5. * Candidates who successfully complete all phases of the recruitment process will be placed on an eligibility list and will be offered a 100% Scholarship to Vernon College where they will complete training. The 64th Fire Training Academy will start January 17, 2017 and will graduate September 12, 2017. Training will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm, and some Saturdays. There will be some clinical rotations during the EMT-Basic portion of the academy that may require different class hours. Students will be required to adhere to the academic and academy rules, and commit to self-study so that they will be successful in both phases of the academy.
