Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

* High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
* Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older at time of appointment.
*Must maintain a valid California Class C driver’s license. Must attach a recent (Last 6 Months) DMV record printout.
*Must be able to obtain a California Firefighter endorsement after one year in the program.
* No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal histories within the past seven years.
* Ability to meet District physical standards.
*Have current CPR certification.
*Must be an EMS First Responder.
* Preference may be given to applicants that currently hold a valid Emergency Medical Technical certification and / or have successfully graduated from a Firefighter I Academy. In the event the applicant selected does not hold such certification, the individual will be encouraged to obtain such certification at earliest availability while working as an intern.
