The Fire Department is accepting applications for the two Firefighter positions:

Firefighter

Entry level, $10.25/hr. Shift work (24 on/48 off) with overtime applicable. Professional firefighting duties of a varied nature under the direction of superior officer which include responding to fire alarms, skilled operation of varied pieces of fire apparatus and equipment, and related cleaning and maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED;
• Must meet all certification requirements prescribed by the State of Florida;
• Must possess a valid Class E Florida Driver’s License;
• Must be able to attain a Florida EMT license within 1st year of hire.

Hours

Vary, according to established Fire Department schedule.

A comparable amount of education, training or experience may be substituted for certain minimum requirements.
