Requirements:

Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Alaska drivers license; non-smoker; good physical condition; ability to work varied twenty-four (24 )hour shifts in an often high stress environment. Ability to work within a paramilitary chain of command structure. Applicants must submit to a background check. Preference may be given to applicants with previous experience in structural fire fighting or emergency medical service or to those applicants currently volunteering with the Bethel Fire department (Firefighter I preferred). Must be able to work in a culturally diverse environment where English is often a second language.
