Requirements:
Basic firefighter certification and meet the minimum firefighter requirements as set forth by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection;
Certified by the Texas Department of Health as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic (or higher)
Attained at least 21 years of age
Students with proof of current enrollment in the Fire Academy and/or EMT training classes will be allowed to test; however, must have successfully completed required certifications prior to employment.
