The Bullhead City Fire Department is currently establishing an eligibility list for Firefighter. This position requires FireTEAM and a valid CPAT. All testing must be completed by December 3rd, 2018.

Department Overview: We are a progressive and innovative department, that is located in the northwest corner of the state where Arizona, Nevada, and California meet, nestled along the banks of the Colorado River.

Area Information: Bullhead City Fire Department serves residents and visitors who enjoy year-round sunshine in a highly favorable climate. While summer temperatures may exceed 110 degrees, the winter months provide ample sunshine and moderate temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s. Outdoor recreational activities include boating, fishing, golfing, off-roading, hiking, biking, and motorcycling. One is sure to always find a great place to relax along the Colorado River.

Age : 19

US Citizen : Lawfully work in US

High School Grad/GED : Yes

Valid ARIZONA State Driver’s License : Valid license from any state.

Ability to Read/Speak English : Yes

Academy Certification : Yes

Necessary Certifications :

Firefighter I & II
Valid EMT AZ/Nat Registry
Additional Consideration for Paramedic Certification, Military Service and Reserves.

Schooling Prior and Post Hiring : Applicable 2 & 4 year degree required for promotion.

Specific Disqualifiers :

No felony convictions prior 10 years.
No DUI convictions prior 5 years.
No drug use arrest or conviction of illegal substances prior 5 years.

Additional Requirements : Full-time Firefighters must live within 150 miles of Bullhead City Fire Department, Station 1 (1260 Hancock Road, Bullhead City, AZ 86442).
