Requirements:

Must hold a valid class “C” California driver’s license or higher; valid State of California Paramedic license, must obtain ICEMA EMT-P prior to employment start date; ACLS certification; CPR/AED certification; successful completion from a State of California recognized Firefighter Academy or State of California Firefighter I certification; High School diploma or GED ; successful completion of CPAT or Biddle

Special Filing Instructions:

The Firefighter/Paramedic, under direct supervision of the Fire Company Officer, is an active member of the “All Risk” firefighting team who responds to all requests for emergency and non – emergency services within Morongo Valley and the adjoining communities. Successful candidates will be assigned to a rotating 48/96 work schedule.

Eligible applicants will be invited to an IFSTA Essentials written test, oral interview, paramedic skills test, and physical agility test . Candidates who are successful in all phases of the testing process will be required to complete a pre – employment physical, background check and drug screening. Successful candidates may then be considered for a conditional offer of employment.
