Requirements:
Education: Graduation from high school or the equivalent and an AA Degree or 60 college semester units; possession of valid CPR/BLS (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation/Basic Life Support) for the Professional Certificate; possession of a valid State of CA Board of Fire Services Fire Officer Certificate or satisfactory completion of any two (2) of the following six (6) State of CA Board of Fire Services courses: Fire Prevention 1A, 1B or 1C, Fire Investigation 1A or 1B or Penal Code 832. Experience: Current employment as a regular (non-probationary) full-time paid Fire Inspector in a public agency. License: Possession of a valid Class C CDL. Certification: Possession of a valid State Fire Marshal Certification as a Fire Prevention Officer I AND Fire Investigator I or the equivalent.
