Requirements:

Applicants must meet the following qualifications: High school diploma or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma and two (2) years experience as an EMT (a comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the above minimum qualifications). LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Possession of a valid Florida Driverâ€™s License. Must possess a valid Florida Driverâ€™s License. Must maintain both Florida Paramedic certification and AHA/Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification. Certification of completion of a Florida approved E.V.O.C. or Defensive Driving course. Must maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Life Support and other courses required by Wakulla EMS (or equal) certifications. Must be approved by the EMS Medical Director to practice as a Paramedic. Preference will be given to those applicants that also possess a Florida certification as a Firefighter II.
