Requirements:

Minimum requirements:
Age 18 with a high school diploma or a Florida State recognized equivalent.
Valid State of Florida Class E Driver’s License.
Current State of Florida Firefighter II certificate*** (see note below).
Current State of Florida EMT or Paramedic certificate (EMT in Paramedic school / Paramedic preferred).
Current AHA CPR and/or ACLS certification.
Current AHA PALS or the American Academy of Pediatrics PEEP certification (preferred).
Valid Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) 16 hours.
Completion of NWCG S-130, 190, 215 (preferred).
Completion of NIMS ICS-100, 200, 300, 700-706, 704, 706, and 800 (preferred).
Candidate Physical Abilities Testing (CPAT) and the FireTEAM assessments through the National Testing Network (NTN) will be accepted (preferred). Other valid Candidate Physical Abilities Testing (CPAT) results may be accepted as well.

***The Fire District will consider sending Florida certified paramedic candidates to Minimum Standards fire school***
