Requirements:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in fire administration, public administration or a closely related field. 2. Ten years of firefighting experience with five years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. 3. Thorough knowledge of modern fire suppression and prevention and emergency medical service principles, procedures, techniques and equipment. 4. Working knowledge of budget preparation and fiscal management. 5. Working knowledge of contracts, agreements and M.O.Us. 6. Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, ordinances, departmental standard operating procedures and regulations.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in fire administration, public administration, or closely related field. 2. Labor/Management relations and contract negotiations. 3. Five years of contract administration 4. Executive Fire Officer and/or Chief Fire Officer
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Valid driver’s license, from any state, and ability to obtain a valid Wyoming driver’s license within six months.
