Job Responsibilities

Firefighter I EMTI-EMTP and Firefighter II EMTI-EMTP
All positions are required to protect life and property by performing one or more of the listed duties: fire fighting, emergency aid, basic life support, hazardous materials, and fire prevention. All positions are responsible for maintaining one or more of the following: fire, emergency and rescue equipment, apparatus, and facilities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
| Firefighter I EMTI-EMTP and Firefighter II EMTI-EMTP: – All applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED; a Firefighter training certificate (Module 1 Georgia Fire Certificate or NPQ1) at the time of appointment; completion of a recognized fire recruit training academy or equivalentcourses; EMT Intermediate (EMT I) or Paramedic (EMTP) certification; no felony convictions in the last 10 years; 21 years or older at the time of employment; valid StateDrivers License without record of suspension or revocation in any State; and the ability to meet and maintain the NFPA and OSHA medical and physical fitness requirements. Applicants must have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. |
