Position / Title: Firefighter/EMT

Requirements:

Age: 21 (with the exception of volunteers who are residents, for whom minimum age is 18).
US Citizen.
High School Grad/GED
Ability to Read/Speak English
Vision: 1582 standards
College: Not required, but preferred
Necessary Certifications:
Be certified as a Washington State EMT-B, or have National Registry EMT-B and obtain Washington State certification within 90 days of hire.
Be able to comply with all state and Kitsap County policies, procedures, protocols, and directives at time of hire.
Preferred:
Possess IFSAC Firefighter I, or NFPA Firefighter I certification, or equivalent, and be a graduate of the Washington State Fire Academy or an equivalent fire academy satisfactory to the Department.
Possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License or the ability to legally drive and obtain a Washington license by time of appointment. Be EVIP certified.
Prefer 2 years’ experience in position.

Special Filing Instructions:

Requires FireTEAM and National Testing Network CPAT. To be considered for this round of hiring, all testing must be completed by November 11, 2017.
