Requirements:

Education:
High School graduation or equivalent

Required Licenses/certifications:
California Class C Driver’s License — Must complete in-house driver training licensing program within one year.
• Firefighter-EMTs – California EMT Certification is required at time of appointment.
• Firefighter-Paramedics – California Paramedic License or National Registry EMTP- Local EMSA Accreditation is required at time of appointment. (Successful candidates will be assisted by EPFD in the Local accreditation process.)
• CSFTES Fire Fighter 1 Certification or equivalent

Experience/Education:
Volunteer/Paid firefighter experience desirable.
A review of applications will be utilized to determine the most qualified candidates to be invited to participate in the testing process.

Physical Abilities
Valid CPAT required by time of appointment (Candidate responsibility).

Testing Process:
Oral Board ?Background Check
Written Test ?Medical Evaluation
Assessment Lab ?Psychological Evaluation

Resumes are not acceptable as substitutes for any part of the application. Failure to complete all required information on the application may result in your disqualification from the testing process.
