Application Process Timeline

Step 1,  Application period:  Applications will be accepted by email until the application deadline of April 17, 2017 at 0800 hours

Step 2,  Written Exam April 21, 2017 at 1700 hours:

• ALL CANDIDATES WHO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND SUBMIT APPLICATIONS AND RESUMES BY THE DEADLINE ARE INVITED TO REPORT FOR THE WRITTEN TEST.
• Written test will be at 1700 hours on April 21, 2017, Evesham Fire-Rescue Station 221, 26 East Main Street, Marlton, NJ 08053. 
• This is your notification to report for the examination; there will be no further communication to candidates  about the written exam process once you submit your application; if you meet the minimums, you can test.
• Candidates will not be admitted late; plan accordingly.
• Business casual attire.
• Candidates MUST bring copies of all required elements including copies of the following: a drivers license, NJ Firefighter I and NJ EMT and CPR certifications, and PROOF of at least sixty (60) college credit hours attained (in accordance with NJ.S.A. 18A:3-15.2).
• Two years experience in fire and/or EMS will be verified by issue date on NJ FF1 Card and/or NJ EMT card. Minimum two years experience required.
• Candidates NOTmeeting requirements will NOT be permitted to sit for the written examination. Written examination is a validated general aptitude test for firefighter candidates.

Step 3, Interview Phase May 2-3-4:  Candidates who advance to the interview phase will be notified on our website by candidate number and via email. Interviews will be conducted on one of the following dates: May 2, 3 or 4 in the evening hours.  Specific interview times and dates will be provided to the candidates.

Step 4, Background, Physical, Medical Clearance: Candidates who advance will begin the background application process, physical agility and medical clearance the week of May 8, 2017. A conditional offer of employment may be made at this time.

Step 5, Appointment: Anticipated date of appointment and start date Monday, June 19, 2017 at 0700 hours.
