The Bryan County Board of Commissioners is now accepting applications for full-time Deputy Operations Chief in the Department of Emergency Services.

The Deputy Operations Chief works under the guidance of the Director of Emergency Services and provides highly professional administrative and operation support to oversee all aspects of the Bryan County Emergency Services including; operations activities,  planning , supervision, coordination, directing, suppression, prevention, emergency medical services, volunteer firefighter program, health and safety and to coordinate activities with other departments, outside agencies, general public and community service.

Desirable qualifications: graduation from an accredited college with an associate’s degree or higher in fire science, paramedicines, business administration, or a closely related field or any equivalent combination of related education and experience. Five years’ experience as a captain or above in a comparable position with an agency of similar size or larger. NPQ FF1 & 2, NPQ Fire Instructor 1 & 2, NPQ Fire Officer 1 & 2, NREMT or NRP.
